Product Process Matrix
The Product Process Matrix is a framework that helps product managers categorize their products based on two dimensions: process technology and product variety. Process technology refers to the way a product is made or delivered, while product variety refers to the range of different products offered. This matrix helps product managers understand the trade-offs between customization and standardization, and the implications for cost and flexibility. For example, if you're running a bakery, the process technology could be baking from scratch or using pre-made mixes, and the product variety could be different flavors and sizes of cakes and pastries.
