Planning Poker
Planning Poker is a collaborative estimation technique used in Agile product management. It helps teams determine the effort required to complete a specific task or feature. Imagine you and your team are playing a game of poker, but instead of betting money, you're betting the amount of effort required to complete a user story or feature. Each team member is given a deck of cards with different numbers representing the level of effort. You all simultaneously flip the cards and discuss your choices. If there's a wide gap in estimates, you have a healthy debate to align expectations. This process continues until a consensus is reached, giving you a clearer understanding of the task's complexity.
