Fibonacci Agile Estimation
Fibonacci Agile Estimation is a technique used in Agile project management to estimate the effort required for completing a task or user story. Instead of using precise time or effort values, Fibonacci numbers are used, such as 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, etc. This approach acknowledges the inherent uncertainty in estimating complex tasks and encourages teams to focus more on relative sizing rather than precise measurement. By using the Fibonacci sequence, teams can easily distinguish between items of different complexities and avoid getting caught up in endless debates over small differences in estimation.+
